Malaika Social Organization (MASO)
is pleased to announce an upcoming project focused on the protection and
sustainable management of the Kansangwa water source located in Kantawa
Village, Nkasi District, Rukwa Region.
This project is supported by Tanzania
Development Trust (TDT) and aims to improve access to safe and clean water
for more than 6,800 people, including pupils of Kantawa Primary School.
Key interventions will include:
- Construction of a durable spring protection structure
- Full covering of the water source to prevent
contamination
- Installation of water outlet pipes for safe water
collection
- Stabilization of the surrounding environment to reduce
soil erosion
The project is expected to be
implemented within a period of two months and will significantly reduce the
risk of waterborne diseases while improving community health and well-being.
MASO believes that access to clean
and safe water is a fundamental human right and remains committed to delivering
sustainable, community-driven solutions.
